Adult Beginning Aerial Silks
$20 per class

This Fall session will build on our Summer Foundations class. Not to worry if you are brand new to Aerial Silks. There will be plenty of review and reinforcement.  If you have never done aerial silks before OR you are returning after an absence, this course will provide a strong foundation. We will talk about ‘lines’ and how to make the simple moves beautiful and professional looking. We will focus on conditioning and proper body mechanics and encourage each body — regardless of your current strength and range of motion — to find your ‘voice’ and express yourself while building strength and having fun!

Only three spots left! Contact Chareva through Instagram @TheRedEggStand for more info.

Who is Chareva?

Chareva first discovered aerial silks when her teenage daughters asked to take classes at a local circus school. After dutifully sitting in the parent observation area she thought “this looks like fun”, and signed up for an adult aerial silks class. Eight years later, the children are grown and off doing other things and Chareva is enjoying her newest passion.

She trains and takes classes (always learning), teaches and performs professionally in the Nashville area. She particularly enjoys developing her skills in straps, lyra and trapeze. Chareva offers limited silks classes and coaching at her home aerial studio which she designed and built in 2020.

Chareva founded of the Middle Tennessee Association of Circus Arts in 2024. She completed her teaching certificate with Jill Franklin’s Aerial Physique Level One Aerial Silks Teacher Training in December 2024. She has a certificate in Aerial Safety Rigging from Hall Rigging Academy and the incredible privilege of having designed and managed the construction of a 2,000 square foot aerial studio in 2020.

Previous to discovering aerial at age 45, Chareva has worked as an illustrator and graphic artist, a high school teacher with youth offenders in Los Angeles, California and a natural resource management extension agent in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa. She studied animation and web design in Santa Monica, California and has a BA degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Chareva lives on a hobby farm in Franklin, Tennessee. She gardens, cares for her flock of laying hens, performs at local venues, teaches aerial silks and endeavors every day to be the best version of herself, live her best life and continue to grow and expand and have fun! Age is just a state of mind. Never stop moving!
